Kate Oliver BA (Oxon), C. Psychol., AFBPsS
Kate is a Chartered Business Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in talent management, leadership development and organisational change. She started her career at SHL and held senior positions in a number of consultancies, both in the UK and overseas, prior to founding KO Consulting.
Through her consultancy practice, Kate has helped many organisations navigate change and develop a competitive edge through their people. She is pragmatic and insightful, adept at understanding the needs of different organisations and how to co-create solutions that achieve lasting results. Clients tell her that she brings a powerful combination of brainpower, energy and fun to her work.
Kate has worked with senior executives, leaders, middle managers and high potential leaders in many leading UK and global organisations, in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She thrives on learning and regularly engages with CPD activities to ensure she stays at the leading edge of her field. She sees her role as a facilitator and coach as creating the right balance of challenge and support for people to increase their awareness, so that they can effectively lead themselves, their people and their businesses.
Kate’s qualifications, expertise and experience provide her with a range of frames and tools to apply flexibly with her clients. She regularly uses emotional intelligence, 36o feedback and range of personality style and vertical development diagnostics, as a means of helping clients to gain greater self-awareness and increase their effectiveness as a leader.
She is accredited in the OPQ, Wave, Hogan (HPI, MVPI, HDS) Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Lumina Spark, FIRO, MTQ48 (Mental Toughness), EIP (Emotional Intelligence) and MQ (Motivation Questionnaire), the Leadership Development Profile (LDP) and Cognitive Process Profile (CPP), and several 360° feedback tools. She is a qualified Coaching Psychologist, on the BPS register of Coaching Psychologists, an NLP Practitioner and certified in Transactional Analysis.
In both 2015 and 2016 Kate was shortlisted as a finalist and awarded the runner up position in the Association for Business Psychology Awards.
